A £500 million Future Fund loan programme implemented by the UK government was launched in May to help startups survive the global pandemic. The government has expanded the scheme now to include companies not incorporated in the UK. The Future Fund scheme allows startups and other high-growth early-stage businesses from a wide range of sectors to apply for a convertible loan of between £125,000 and £5 million, to help them trade through the pandemic.
